The Wisconsin Healthcare Telecommunications Association (WHTA) was formed in 1991 and is a Non-Profit educational organization. WHTA's original focus was on the advancement of telecommunications knowledge in healthcare and later changed the name to Wisconsin Healthcare Technology Association to reflect the merging of telecom into IT. With the onset of Covid-19 in 2020, WHTA's focus has shifted from technology to the human aspects of healthcare education focusing on positive mental wellness.
